I’m a Target-Obsessed Shopping Writer, and These Are the New Spring Fashion Items to Grab ASAP

The start of this year has felt like a lot. When I need something happy to ground me or help me to look ahead, I love looking through Target’s newest arrivals for the upcoming season. Does it fix anything happening in my world? No, but sometimes picking up a dress I can imagine wearing on a trip or even just on a sunny day is everything I need to add some pep back into my step. This pretty eyelet skater dress is the first item that jumped into my cart. It looks like a great Easter dress, or something to pair with your favorite sandals on days you want to get ready quickly and still feel completely put together. I’m also eyeing these cute scallop leggings that I predict will sell out very quickly. Outside of my favorite Target clothing categories, I spotted this fun collared short-sleeve sweater that I imagine pairing with wide-leg jeans, and I also know I’ll wear this cropped barn jacket or this cropped chore jacket on repeat throughout spring and again during fall.

Before I dove into Target’s newest arrivals online, I actually spotted this dress in person during a recent visit to my local store. I was shopping quickly that day, so I didn’t pick it up. But I’ve thought about it ever since. The dress is made from cotton and has a above-the-knee mini length with pretty flutter short sleeves complete with eyelet details. I love the soft blue shade, but you can also shop it in white in sizes XS to 4X.

Cozy layers aren’t always the most flattering, which is why I’m obsessed with this full-zip jacket from Target’s in-house brand, All in Motion. It’s made from recycled polyester, rayon, and spandex, a blend that’s designed to move with you. The full-zip makes it easy to put on and take off, and the mock turtleneck collar will offer extra warmth in low temperatures.
