Short on time? Make flatbread pizza instead of traditional pizza. This recipe is quicker, easier and just as delicious.
Ingredients
1 package (1/4 ounce) quick-rise yeast
2/3 cup warm water (110° to 115°)
1/3 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-3/4 to 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup pizza sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
Preheat oven to 450°. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add oil, sugar, salt and 1 cup flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough (dough will be sticky).
Turn dough onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let rest 10 minutes.
Press dough into a 12x10-in. rectangle in a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Top with pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese. Bake until golden brown, 15-20 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
